On Halloween, students in Ms. Padro's class celebrated another holiday, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
Students participated in a number of activities to learn about the holiday. Students got to build an altar and place pictures of loved ones to remember them.
They also did an art project, decorated sugar cookies and tasted pan de muertos, which is specifically made for that day.
Staff got to celebrate too. They got to have homemade pozole!
Students currently are working on an essay about what they have learned.
